In 2019 the first EVM compatible chain was born and it probably isn't one you've heard of before. Fusion was built from the ground up to perform fast, but to also deeply integrate at the encryption level cross chain functionality. This capability has now been built into a product on that chain, called Chainge and it is one of the most powerful concepts I've ever discussed on the show.

They've built a powerful security model, you always have custody of your tokens, and you have access to an amazing yield generation capability that means you never have to deposit tokens into a vault or farm.
